Our shopping, individual support and transport services help people who need find it difficult to independently travel to the shops or to meet important appointments.
Our services offer help through our staff and volunteers at a range of levels, so that clients remain in control, but are assisted to undertake the tasks.
Bus Shopping Service
Our Shopping Service supports older people who find it difficult to independently do their shopping. We provide a group and individualised assisted shopping service for people who require support with their shopping. The bus shopping service picks clients up from their homes and taken to Roselands Shopping Centre and then home again. Clients are supported by our friendly staff and volunteer team.
Individual Social Support
We also provide a range of supports which aim to promote personal independence and opportunities for social interaction and access to the community. This includes:
- Telephone contact
- Accompanied activities such as shopping, bill-paying, attendance at appointments and other social activities.
Transport Services
We provide a transport service that supports older people to access and engage in their community. Transport can be arranged for individuals to attend:
- Personal appointments
- Medical appointments
- Social activities
