Community Announcement – Samsung Washing Machine Recall

Samsung is seeking assistance from the aged care sector to help locate certain models of its top loader washing machines manufactured between 2010 and 2013 that may pose a safety threat.

Samsung has successfully located more than 94% of these machines through a sustained public awareness campaign as part of a nation-wide recall that began seven years ago. Point of sale data shows outstanding machines are predominantly located in NSW, QLD, and VIC.

Samsung remains committed to finding every possible machine and reaching people in the community who may not have seen its previous communications or, for various reasons, find it difficult to participate in a recall program, including the elderly.
