We deliver home visiting, domestic assistance, home maintenance and community outings services that extend the assistance that we provide older people in our area.
These are delivered by our staff together with a team of volunteers who bring their own skills and experience to the services.
Home Visiting
We provide a home visiting service to maintain social connections for older people. Our volunteers can visit or call each fortnight to chat with clients about their activities and plans.
Home Maintenance
Our Home Maintenance service provides assistance with minor repairs like changing light globes or washers through to gardening. The program relies on our friendly and professional volunteer handypersons and gardeners who are fully insured and have satisfied police checks. The service responds to the needs of clients who are no longer able to fully maintain their homes and gardens, and is especially welcomed by those who enjoyed gardening but are no longer able to undertake it.
Domestic Assistance
We provide domestic assistance to older people who need help with basic household jobs like cleaning, washing and tidying their homes.
Community Outings
Our Community Outings program helps clients to stay connected and independent by providing affordable and accessible outings in and around Sydney. Every Friday our bus leaves full of clients ready for a new adventure, whether that be all the way south to Kiama or into the City for the Vivid Festival, to a musical or to the Museum of Human Diseases at UNSW. We explore new places, learn new things and have fun. These trips are very popular and provide an opportunity to socialise and enjoy the company of other and to see places that you might otherwise not get to. We produce a quarterly calendar with input from clients and carers that gives clients a choice of outings.
