Volunteer Home Visiting Program
This service provides a volunteer home visitor to visit regularly with HACC target clients who are housebound. Volunteers visit clients in their own homes on a weekly basis for up to two hours at a time, for a friendly chat and a 'cuppa'.
Clients are matched up with volunteers who have similar interests, and all volunteers are appropriately trained.
ALL VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH CLIENTS IN THEIR OWN HOMES ARE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK BEFORE THEY ARE EMPLOYED.
