The Centre
Program
We are Implementing the Emergent Curriculum which means the
learning evolves from the interaction of both adult and child, diverging along
new paths as choices and connections are made. It is always open to new
possibilities that were not thought of during the initial planning process
making it exciting and unique to the Centre. We strongly believe in working in
partnerships with the parents to contribute to the program.
Learning is promoted as an individual and social process
where, children, teachers, and families are learning from each other, sharing
resources as the program evolves and grows.
The children's literacy experience supports their home
language and extends each child's home and community experiences
A reflective journal is accessible to all to all parents where
they can see how their child's day was. Parents are able to present their
suggestions or comments.
Each child has their individual portfolio where we record
their learning experiences throughout the year.
We have regular meetings with the parents to discuss progress
and implement new strategies in regards with the child's development.
Our Vision
We strive to provide the best possible environment for the
children in our care. Our staff are friendly, affectionate and always have the
