Client Fees
Fees are a contribution towards the cost of providing the service. All fees charged by Riverwood Canterbury Neighbour Aid Service are approved by the Centre Management Committee and are reviewed regularly. Clients will be given information regarding fees during assessment or when a request for assistance is made. If a client has difficulty in paying a fee, this should be discussed with the Neighbour Aid Co-ordinator.
Waiting Lists
Even though people may be eligible to receive a service, sometimes we may not have the resources to be able to help straight away. If this happens we will place clients on a waiting list. We review waiting lists on a regular basis and will let clients know how long they are likely to wait before service can begin.
Priority is given to people with the greatest need.
Information required by the government
All HACC services are required to pass on statistical information to the government on a regular basis. Personal information is collected on the CIARR (Client Information and Referral Record) when a new client joins the service. This information is then transferred to a computer data base. Each time a client receives a service from us this is recorded on the data base, and reports are sent quarterly by email to the Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care for planning purposes. The information that is sent to the Department does not include clients' names and addresses . This information can only be forwarded if the client gives their consent for this to happen. If a client chooses not to answer some questions or not to give consent, the services they are entitled to receive will not be affected.
